
This German company had a world-wide presence but no business in the United States. They asked for a concept to help them enter the U.S. market.
Before PhotoShop made it easy to create a shot like this, we did it in the studio with a fisheye lens, adding the background as a separate shot at the film stage. Inside, a stylized world map had “push-pins” scattered across the globe for all of KTS’ installations, with strong, hard-hitting copy. For use at trade shows, the brochure was an instant success and helped establish KTS as a credible vendor in a highly technical and competiitve field.
The effectiveness of this design concept for its particular market is underscored by the fact that the trade magazine Circuits Assembly reprinted the brochure for the cover of its 1992 Buyers Guide issue.
